Tree Love: Live Oaks with Spanish Moss

If you look closely in the photo above, you may see people on the steps of the pavilion across the pond.

Do you see a face? It reminds me of a rabbit.

A group from my church visited Airle Gardens on Sunday afternoon. The air was hot and humid, but the trees didn’t seem to mind a bit. I was very grateful for their shade and managed to get a few new photos of live oaks and Spanish moss. Click on the first gallery photo, then use the arrows, to get a better view of each one.

The soft breeze brought welcome relief and tickled the Spanish moss.

  1. Yes I see the people, the rabbit and a little bear. The tree at the top is mesmerizing. Great photos.

  2. A grand old oak tree! A great grandmother with bent back, gathering all of her great grand kids in her arms 🙂

  3. Lovely photos of these beautiful old trees, JoAnna. We lost so many oaks to Hurricane Ian, but many still remain. The character of those old oaks may be from a lifetime of surviving storms! 🙂

  4. Wonderful photos JoAnna. I love the look of spanish moss hanging from oaks. A southern classic!

  5. This is sooo pretty! The Spanish Moss gives a ghostly look but in a nice way! 🙂

  6. I love these pictures and so so happy ones. Thank you for sharing! The blue sky and green around is mesmerising.
