Thursday Tree Love: Spring Red Buds in a Parking Lot

“If you look the right way, you can see that the whole world is a garden.”

Reflection in the Car Bumper

I took these photos in March when the redbuds were among the first to bloom. This one added color to the gray parking lot.

If you look up, you can forget for a moment you’re even in a parking lot.

We still need to leave more trees in parking lots.

Thursday Tree Love is hosted by Parul Thakur on the second and fourth Thursday of each month.

  1. Commenting on my own post, and in particular the quote, I know we cannot ignore the destruction that is taking place, and we must work to protect and heal our planet. Sometimes though we need to take a breath and spend time in the marvelous gifts of Mother Earth.

  2. Wow! Thats a beautiful pink! Yes, a change in perspective can give an entirely different view.. We should do it more often … Great post JoAnna!

  3. A beautiful tree. I agree with you that our parking lots should have more trees.

  4. I especially like the bumper shot

  5. Joanna, these photos bring back happy memories of life in Virginia! Redbud is so vivid! 🙂

  6. Beautiful red buds. I never manage to capture them when they’re that full. Love the quote! And yes–more trees in parking lots!

  7. This looks like Pink Poui tree. So beautiful and full of bloom. I am so glad you shared. It makes me smile. Thank you! See you!

  8. Gorgeous blooms! More trees in car parks – I can get behind that.

  9. That’s a very pretty tree. ❤
And I agree — our parking lots should have more trees. More trees mean more flowers/color and more shade. 🙂
