Thursday Tree Love: Thanks for the Shade (and the Oxygen)

Trees at the senior center

These oak trees border one side of the parking lot where I go to yoga class. All summer long, they provided shade for me to park under so my car wouldn’t feel like an oven. This winter, they will likely drop some leaves to let the sunshine in. That’s what trees do, along with giving us oxygen, providing homes for birds, and looking lovely. Aren’t trees  marvelous?!

The Spanish moss reminds me of hair.

Here are a couple more trees that provide shade in parking lots. Sometimes, I choose where I shop depending on where the trees are.

  1. Just beautiful JoAnna.. The trees certainly need our LOVE right now in many places around the globe.. Sending some Tree Hugs.. ❤

  2. I’ve loved trees from a very young age. A tree is a universe to other living creatures.

  3. I have a lot of respect for trees, especially the one I fell out of when I was little. We seemed to have lots of them in the yard, which was great since I got paid for cleaning up leaves at 10 cents a bushel barrel. Trees are majestic as all get out. Birds and squirrels love ’em. My yard right now, today, has lots of trees as does the whole neighborhood. It’s a real blessing to live up close and personal with nature. Trees rock! 🙂

  4. smiling to your beautiful
    shade oaks, JoAnna!
    such a marvelous gift!
    where would we be
    without them 🙂

  5. Superb trees! I can see some Spanish Moss growing on them.. Oaks do not grow in the region I live so we get a chance to see them here! Thanks!! 🙂
