These oak trees border one side of the parking lot where I go to yoga class. All summer long, they provided shade for me to park under so my car wouldn’t feel like an oven. This winter, they will likely drop some leaves to let the sunshine in. That’s what trees do, along with giving us oxygen, providing homes for birds, and looking lovely. Aren’t trees marvelous?!

The Spanish moss reminds me of hair.
Here are a couple more trees that provide shade in parking lots. Sometimes, I choose where I shop depending on where the trees are.

I’ve loved trees from a very young age. A tree is a universe to other living creatures.

It surely is! We need to think beyond of our individual human cultures. Which reminds me: I’m enjoying your novel and getting to care about the characters. I think I’m on chapter 8 or 9.

I have a lot of respect for trees, especially the one I fell out of when I was little. We seemed to have lots of them in the yard, which was great since I got paid for cleaning up leaves at 10 cents a bushel barrel. Trees are majestic as all get out. Birds and squirrels love ’em. My yard right now, today, has lots of trees as does the whole neighborhood. It’s a real blessing to live up close and personal with nature. Trees rock! 🙂

YES! I agree 100%. Can’t imagine living in a neighborhood without trees. Thanks for your enthusiastic and true comment!
