Remember ALL the Heroes

Song Lyric Sunday

Today’s Song Lyric Sunday theme is “let go.” Since I had a let go song in Thursday’s post, and since we are allowed to go our own way, I’m doing something different. Can you imagine having to let go of  a loyal companion who gave everything?  This memorial day, let’s remember ALL the heroes.

While I do not agree with animals being used to fight our wars, the fact is, they are. They deserve to be remembered for their loyalty and courage, along with all the people who gave their lives.

I discovered the song,”Run,” in the following video. The chorus and lyric video are posted below.  “Run” was written by Gary Lightbody, Nathan Connolly, Mark Mcclelland, and Iain Archer, Jonathan Quinn.

Light up, Light up

As if you have a choice

Even if you cannot hear my voice

I’ll be right beside you, dear.

Louder, louder

And we’ll run for our lives

I can hardly speak. I understand

why you can’t raise your voice to say….

This song made me cry so I had to go find happy tears. I hope you enjoy the next video of a military service dog being reunited with his soldier.

Thank you to Mission K 9 Rescue for helping dogs get back with those they love.

Honoring our Four Legged Heroes

Animal War Dogs

“At our Capitol Hill briefing in July we not only called on the Congress to ensure a safe ride home and happy retirement for all military working dogs and contract working dogs, but we also asked the private sector to step up and establish a veterinary care fund for these dogs after they come home.”
