The law also criminalizes videos depicting serious harm to animals. While there are exceptions, it will be interesting to see how this new law could help animals on factory farms and in research. Lawmakers, human service workers, and criminal justice officials recognize the link between animal cruelty and violence toward people. More people are beginning to understand that all beings deserve compassion.
