Thursday Tree Love: Autumn Amber by Ayla

“We never fully move on,
We leave a piece of ourselves behind
Like leaves and trunks molded into the earth
And forest floor, we give what we know
And others take it up and use it to grow.

I stand under the shade of giants.”

This photo was taken a few months ago by my daughter Ayla who gave me permission to share it. She has become the family historian working to discover the branches of her family tree. The tree in her photo lives on a hill near Hanging Rock State Park in the foothills of North Carolina.

Thursday Tree Love is hosted by Parul Thakur on the second and fourth Thursdays.

  5. Thank you for sharing the lovely photo!!… always liked the many different fall colors, reminds me of the world and the many different people and creatures…. far too often we do not see the beauty that surrounds us, with the tree and the people…. 🙂

Hope all is well in your part of the world, life is all that you wish for it to be and until we meet again..
May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
    wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
    with joy that long endures.
    May all life’s passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!

  6. Ayla captured the perfect shot there. Love it! I also loved the quote and it’s humbling in a lot of ways. So glad Ayla shared this with you. Please give her my love and best.
