New York Residents Rescue Birds Stuck in the Ice
Buffalo residents Seamus Gallivan and Alex McArthur helped free 16 birds stuck in ice after the recent winter storm. They used a hammer, chisels, and screwdrivers. Kudos to Brazil’s first indigenous woman to head the new Ministry of Indigenous Peoples! I’m awaiting news here in California of the father’s motive for driving his family off a 250-foot cliff. I can only imagine the trauma of the surviving wife and two kids.

I’m thankful for the changes that seem to be taking place in Brazil’s government. It’s been hard to find details about the father driving off the cliff other than he is a physician and there are family portraits with the couple smiling happily reminding us that things can seem picture perfect on the surface. I hope and pray the wife and kids heal over time. Lots of time. I also hope the father heals in time, too, but stays away from them.
