I had not really seen this holly tree until I was photographing Mother Pine for my previous Tree Love post. They are neighbors living near the senior center parking lot. I’ll be sure to appreciate the holly’s shade this summer.

    Such brilliance in this quote!

  2. That’s a huge tree! Lovely!! Your choice of quote is so apt for these grim times…

  3. Lovely trees gracing your path.

  4. A quote for our times. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen that big a holly. its red berries cheer up winter!

  5. This is so pretty and I don’t think I have ever heard of Holly Tree. Thanks for sharing and joining us JoAnna. See you around later today.

  6. Loooooovvvvveeee this tree–and the quote!

  7. Four years back, we were visiting Knysna in South Africa and I recall walking past a tree that had berries which looked exactly like these Holly berries. Now, I know it must have been a Holly tree.
Thank you for sharing such a wonderful quote to go with the photo post!! Loved it! That “shift in perspective” can change us so much from within, right?

    • I’m so glad you liked the quote and recalled seeing a holly tree in South Africa. While I it’s interesting to see new trees from other parts of the world, it gives us a sense of connection when we see how similar trees can be found across the ocean. Thanks for the link!
