“When we are OPEN, we have freedom, courage and creativity – not just to explore uncharted territories where intuition may lead, but also to move beyond limits.”
― Zamm Zamudio, Intuition: Discover the Inner Workings of our World –

This is my favorite live oak so far in southeastern North Carolina. It lives in a city park near a lake encircled by a five mile trail. Southern Live Oaks (Quercus Virginiana) are famous for their large, low, spreading branches. Some branches may even rest on the ground like South Carolina’s Angel Oak which I hope to visit one day.

Thank you for sharing!!.. it is a beautiful tree indeed!!… I love every tree, do not have a particular one, although I do like a weeping willow…. 🙂
Until we meet again..
May flowers always line your path
and sunshine light your way,
May songbirds serenade your
every step along the way,
May a rainbow run beside you
in a sky that’s always blue,
And may happiness fill your heart
each day your whole life through.

Oh, I love weeping willows. It seems like the ones I’ve seen around here are hard to get to, but one of these days, I will. I’m glad you love every tree. Each one is special. Thanks for visiting and the lovely poem!

I’m glad you can see it’s a great tree from the photo, because it’s even more special in person. Thanks, Dave.

Beautiful and resilient 🙂

Yes! I was not consciously aware of the resiliency, but that is clearly part of what makes this tree so special and draws me closer. Thanks, Rosaliene. 🙂

Wow, just looking at this tree makes me feel bloomed. A good tree for little ones to play under, I guess a good one to climb as well.
July 26, 2021 at 11:17 pm
I’m so glad you enjoyed this big old tree. I would have climbed it a few years ago. Maybe next time…..

Yes…this tree is majestic! There’s a live oak right outside my office window. No matter how many times I try, I simply cannot capture its awesomeness in one shot. It’s an amazing tree. You did a superb job with the shot!

Thank you! It’s hard with such a big tree. To get the whole thing, we lose detail. To have a live oak right outside your window is wonderful!
