Grocery Store in a Texas High School
A high school in Texas turned an extra classroom into a grocery store. The store does not accept cash. Instead, students earn points for positive work done in the community and helping with chores and clean up in the classroom and around campus.

The Texas store has the right prinicple in mind. Lets’ teach kids nothing is free, we have to earn or work for what we get in return. I feel to many kids grow up expecting things to be handed to them and then they grow up with major problems becasue the world doesn’t work that way. OF course love is free but some people think strings are attached to it.

I agree that kids need to earn things, and I like how money is not the currency at this high school. Anyone can do a good deed. Thanks for your comment!

These are all wonderful stories. The one about treatment for arthritis is of personal interest to me because my mom, aunt and dad are all sufferers.

All good news! The free moves for domestic violence victims is especially hopeful. I’m so sad about the abuse people are living with especially during these Covid times.

Realizing how much domestic violence still exists is sad and scary. I’m very thankful for the young folks and their company helping out. Thanks for appreciating the good new!
