After spending years in a Chinese aquarium, they are currently transitioning to an 8-acre sanctuary at Klettsvik Bay in Iceland. Central Park Gets its First Statue Honoring Real-Life Women
New York’s Central Park is finally getting a statue honoring real-life women. The statue of Susan B. Anthony, Sojourner Truth, and Elizabeth Caty Stanton will be unveiled tomorrow, Aug. 26. There are statues of animals, authors, scientists, and historical figures, but for 160 years, the only female statues in Central Park depict fictional characters like Alice in Wonderland.
