A Donation Only Restaurant Where All are Welcome
Drexell and Honeybees is a little restaurant in Alabama. There are no prices but there’s a private area where people can go in and put their donation in a box, or not. Take a look at their website and be sure to scroll down and watch the video. https://www.drexellandhoneybees.com/

Dancing in the Rain
Anthony Mmesoma Madu, an 11 year old from Nigeria, recently received a scholarship after the video of him dancing in the rain outside his ballet school went viral. He has studied at The Leap of Dance Academy in Lagos, Nigeria where his ballet teacher, Daniel Ajala, offers free classes to children who cannot afford to pay.

I apologize if you’re having trouble with the “like” button. The WP happiness engineer suspects it’s due to my theme being “retired.” Maybe it’s time for a new theme!

oh no that’s bad news because I have a theme that is retired!!!!!
August 18, 2020 at 5:51 pm
Well, it’s still working somewhat. But I’ve been thinking about changing to a theme that shows more posts on the screen.
August 18, 2020 at 7:38 pm
That’s why I like my new theme, there aren’t many, well not many that don’t require lots of changes to be made. The ones with more content on front page are mostly focused on photograhy or business. i don’t know CSS so it limits what I can change.

Thanks, M. I don’t know CSS either. I’ve learned a lot, but in some ways, I’m still fairly low tech.

I’m very low tech and i like it that way. If not I would be messing with everything. I have a MAC so I just leave it alone ans it works!

FYI, Happiness Engineer Jayden emailed me and said my theme was updated. Seems to be working so far!

The owners at Drexell and Honeybees, a little restaurant in Alabama, are yet another example of the selfless people among us who bring hope in the darkness engulfing our communities across our nation.
August 18, 2020 at 8:12 pm
Yes, they are. They are doing what they can to push back the darkness. Thank you for appreciating them with me.

The second is too scary. The first is 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
August 18, 2020 at 8:19 pm
Thanks for that perspective, Eliza. I see your point about the second being scary. I think I got caught up in the excitement. I hope the man she saved gets the help and support he needs to keep him safe.

Hope so 💕

Well, I do like the post, so there. I suspect I have to find a new theme as well. I am having similar problems. At least you’ve brought us some good news.
August 18, 2020 at 9:15 pm
Thanks, Dan. I was going to ask you what your theme is, but I guess not. WP needs to clarify.
August 18, 2020 at 9:25 pm
Mine is Baskerville 2

Love your good news, JoAnna! The ballet video filled my heart with joy. What theme is this you’re using? I don’t see any like buttons, so I’m hearting… ❤️❤️❤️❤️
August 19, 2020 at 8:54 pm
Thank you, Mother Wintermoon. The theme is, Yoko. Jayden the WP happiness engineer said it’s been updated/fixed. I hope the like button is back. I appreciate your hearts!

I’ve never heard of anything like Drexel and Honeybees restaurant. Love that name! I might not have spelled it right. I will look!
August 19, 2020 at 10:26 pm
I’ve heard of donation only restaurants, but this one seems to have a particularly cozy feel to it. They are small and only open three days a week, but that’s okay. It’s part of who they are.
August 19, 2020 at 10:47 pm
So wonderful that you’re sharing that.
August 19, 2020 at 10:56 pm
Thanks. It’s a pleasure!
