“The good news is that we can learn something from every relationship.”
From Loneliness to Love
It was nine years ago on July 15, that I had my second first date with my high school sweetheart. We had not seen each other in 39 years. It took us that long to learn the lessons we needed to learn, to become ready to meet again. The challenges of the past prepared us for the road we walk now. The heartbreaks of yesterday deepen the joys of today.

You let them go and they were yours so they came back. Beautiful.

Sounds like a happy ending

Yes, a happy ending for my first book. We’ve learned enough really enjoy walking together. There are still ups and downs of course, but so much better.

True! Each relationship has a role to play too.

Yes! In the short run, it might not make sense, but in the long run, it all falls into place.

We all come in each others life for every good reason!!

Yes! I believe this now more than ever. When confronted with a challenging person, I ask, What is this person here to teach me? Or what am I here to teach this person. Sometimes it’s patience or tolerance. Sometimes it’s how to set boundaries or walk away. Sometimes we are learning things we’re not consciously aware of.

So Nice,
We are all seekers in one way or the other. There are times when we think we took a wrong exit, later on we realize the detour was a part of the destiny too. It was to teach us what we would have not know otherwise, it takes us to those depths and heights that we never knew even existed.
This Beautiful Universe is constantly expanding and so are we.
Thanks for sharing the fragrance of your thoughts and the thoughts of David.

Me too! We dated in tenth grade, then his family moved back to Connecticut. I thought I’d never see him again. Thanks for being glad with me. 🙂

What a great story! You two were meant to be, when the timing was right. I like your one-liner and the idea of one-liner messages and missives. 🙏

Thank you! When I was 16, a woman I babysat for told me, “If you and David are meant to be together, you will be.” I never forgot that.
July 15, 2020 at 10:10 pm
Definitely! Sometimes we just take the long way to get there. 😉
July 15, 2020 at 10:26 pm
Yes. The timing was perfect!

So beautifully said! I believe all we go through is a set up for our now. Every tear, laugh, and all life brings our way. It all sets us up for our now. We live, learn, and love. What a wonderful love story! God bless you both!

I agree! And God takes some of the hardest messes and turns them into something good. ❤ Blessing to you and yours, Lisa.
