The US Supreme Court Voted to Protect Dreamers
On June 18, the US Supreme Court voted (5-4) to protect nearly 650,000 young undocumented immigrants from deportation. The Trump administration had proposed to dismantle DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals), but for now, the dreamers will be able to continue to study, work, and live in the in the country where they have spent most of their lives. This article gives a clear explanation of DACA and its current status.
Here’s a response from one DACA recipient.

NASCAR Racing Community Rallies to Support Bubba Wallace
This is a good news, bad news, good news situation. I believe the good news outweighs the bad and shows overall progress. First, NASCAR heeded the call from Bubba Wallace, their only black full time top level NASCAR driver, to ban confederate flags from NASCAR. Then there was a backlash. A noose was found in Bubba Wallace’s NASACAR garage. The FBI is doing a full investigation. Third, the NASCAR community has shown clear and overwhelming support for Bubba, escorting his car in a mass show of solidarity at Monday’s race. ( Update: The video has become unavailable, most likely due to new developments in the case. I still feel the support was good news.)

Oh, that video is so cute and delightful!!! Thank you, I love it. Also love your blog’s name, by the way. Just a fantastic reminder to get in one’s inbox when your new posts arrive, that anything IS possible! Or, as Audrey Hepburn said “Nothing is impossible. The word itself says I’m possible!” 🙂

I’m so glad you enjoyed the video and appreciate the good news. Audrey Hepburn’s insight about I’m possible always makes me smile and nod by head. “Anything is Possible,” was inspired by my father telling me “Nothing is Impossible,” when I was 12. I never forgot that. I’m so happy to pass this along.

The bride and her children video was delightful; the Supreme Court’s decision a relief – but provoking anger that they had to rule on it – the young man being interviewed has more integrity than those trying to deport him.

It feels like we are making slow progress with lurching steps. I too was impressed with Mr. Contreras and his integrity. Glad you liked the bride and her children. 🙂
