Louisville Kentucky Bans No Knock Warrants with “Breonna’s Law”
In March, Breonna Taylor was sleeping when police broke into her home with a “no- knock warrant” and shot her eight times. Her boyfriend, Kenneth Walker didn’t know who was breaking in and fired his licensed handgun in defense, wounding one officer. Police returned fire, killing Breonna. On June 12, the Louisville city council unanimously passed Breonna’s Law banning no-knock warrants. Breonna was an EMT and saved lives for a living. Her family hopes her death will save more lives. Thank you for this uplifting post! You are really creating a beautiful vision of hope and optimism with your Good News Tuesday, I love it. It´s hard to believe that all this violence towards people of different ethnicities, and in general against beings who aren´t in power positions, still happens… and so important that progress is finally made… Also loved the deer CPR! I will make sure to check out the uplifting stories you mention here. Blessings to you:)

Thank you dear gypsy. I’m very grateful for your support and encouragement. I, too, find it hard to believe our species is still capable of so much violence. I keep thinking, we should be further along by now. But we are also capable of great kindness. We must be making progress. Maybe these are growing pains. I hope. Blessings to you, too. ❤

I know. I felt like I had to include the background and thankful they passed the law, though so sad it had to take such a horrible death. Breonna’s law won’t solve everything or take away the wrongness of her loss, but I hope it gives her family a little bit of comfort.
