Staying home encourages me to take a closer look at nature’s abundance right outside my door. First I was drawn to this twilight sky then noticed the dogwood silhouette.
During the day, the dogwood blossoms have a translucent quality that’s hard to capture with my amateur photography skills, but I still try.
I discovered a single blossom on the ground almost under my feet.
It must have been a gift
from the tree to me and from me to you.

Hi JoAnna. Hope you are all safe. Beautiful pictures of dogwood blossoms – in fact it is the first time i have seen these beauties. Superb clicks and the your gift is so sweet. I remember during my high school days, whenever a leaf or flower petals would fall on me due to breeze, i would tell my mother that they are showers of blessings. π

Trees not yet in blooming in our area. However, it is good to retain hope for the future.

Dogwoods are, of course, a million times prettier in person, especially while you stand among them, but you really did take beautiful photos of them and I am glad to see them π

Thanks, Joey. I’m glad you enjoyed them. This youngish dogwood is in much better shape than my older one that I let ivy grow on. The old one needs a trim and some TLC.
