The First Vaccine for Bees

Scientists at the University of Helsinki, Finland have developed a vaccine for bees. The vaccine called “PrimeBee” targets the deadly bee disease American foulbrood and can be delivered on a sugar patty.  The vaccine is not yet available for sale, but I’m thankful researchers are working hard to save bees. You can read more in this article from NPR

A Special Coat for Zoey

Zoey lives in Michigan where the winters are very cold. Having cerebral palsy and being in a wheel chair made it hard for her to bundle up for recess. So Zoey’s mom invented a special coat. I hope you enjoy meeting Zoey and learning more about her mom’s invention in this video.

99 + Good News Stories from 2018

We still have a lot of work to do as a species, but this collection of good news stories from “Future Crunch” celebrates some of the progress we’ve made this year. The stories are arranged in the categories of conservation, global health, kindness/tolerance, living standards, decrease in war/crime/violence, and environment. Take your pick or read them all!

And on the personal front, I got my computer fixed!

  1. I’m pleased your computer is fixed

  2. Reblogged this on ENLIGHTENMENT ANGELS and commented:
    Bees, Bees, and more Bees…

  3. Love Zoey’s body coat 🙂

  4. Beautiful news about the bee vaccine. I love bees and I love honey. And the mother inventing a coat for her child with cp is something made of love. I think the little girl is a sweetheart and the mom a heroine.

  5. These are great stories, and I’m happy you got your computer fixed.

  6. Great your got your computer fixed and your news stories are special. Love the bee vaccine and Zoey’s Mum’s loving creativity. Just marvellous. Hugs for you, JoAnna. ❤

  7. So glad your computer is fixed. I do write some posts on my phone but I find it rather difficult and much prefer doing it on our laptop. Thanks again for these uplifting stories. Am currently planning for 2019 and I’ve decided I will take part too. We need some good stories out there. And I also have a favour to ask: The daughter of a friend of mine has done a song on YouTube for a school project and needs comments in English on YouTube. Would you mind to check it out and give her some feedback? Its perfectly fine if not but these kids try to do something against climate change and plastic pollution and I believe they deserve some support. I’ve written about it here:

    Thanks very much!

Such a clever idea.. love the company logo name too with the emphasis on on ABILITY .. 🙂 Good news about the Bees… I hope it proves to be a life saver for them.. or else our food production will be on the decrease , if not enough bees to pollinate.

Sending well wishes JoAnna.. much love your way to you and your family for the Holiday Season.. ENJOY out in Nature… Catch you soon..
