Sometimes it isn’t about the answer….

I waited a long time for an answer to my prayer – though in the grand scheme of things, it was a blink of God’s eye. During that wait I learned to love myself as a single person. I learned to honor what is important to me. I learned to trust that God had a plan and to accept that it would be good, even if it meant I would stay single for the rest of my life. I knew God loved me and wanted me to be happy. I learned to forgive myself and others. I’m still learning. And the answer to my prayer was pretty good, too. πŸ™‚

  1. Amen to what y0u wrote. It is true that life teaches us lessons but we must be willing to listen and to learn.

  2. So lovely and hopeful. A great reminder for when we’re going through the hard seasons. πŸ’›

  3. My granny would tell me when I was a teenager that God may show you the answer as to why and he may not. I have grown to believe God has a plan for me and every road bump is making me stronger for the next road bump. I’m in a period of not knowing and now I’ll learn something.
I decided at 12 yrs. old kids were not for me. Little did I know at 28 cervical cancer would make those thoughts correct. Abuse changes people.
    Have a great weekend.

  4. For me, it’s always about what I learned from the journey. Maybe the biggest part is that it IS a journey. Love this!
