1. Declaring Peace:
The countries of Ethiopia and Eritrea have been called “sworn enemies” after a border war from 1998 to 2000 left nearly 100,000 dead. Since then, the two countries have been in a tense state verging on war. But that status changed last week as the leaders ushered in “a new era of peace and friendship.” Ethiopia’s new prime minister, Abiy Ahmed “announced the two countries have agreed to reopen embassies and ports and allow flight operations to strengthen diplomatic ties between them.”

I had a feeling this might happen today and wondered if I should wait. But anyway, here it is! All the boys and their coach were rescued from the cave! Thank you to all the heroes and for the one who sacrificed his life. Pray that all the rescuers get out safely.
