As Easter approaches I have extra choir duty, I’m getting rid of a nasty cold, and preparing to drive to the mountains on Monday. So, to make things a little easier on myself, I’m doing a bit of re-cycling here on WordPress.
In 2015, I did a series of posts about Jesus Christ Superstar and how the movie and music impacted my life.
In this song, Jesus, played by Ted Neeley, faces his fear in the garden of Gethsemane. Sure puts my little challenges in a different perspective.

This Sunday night there is a live (I think) production of “Jesus Christ Superstar” on NBC. I’m not at all religious, but I do love that musical and I’m looking forward to see how it’s handled on Sunday night.

I just happened to see an ad for that, today! But thanks for the heads up. Seems like Alice Cooper was in the cast. Should be interesting.

Dearest JoAnna, I truly hope the remnants of your cold are now truly on the mend my friend.. I watched several of your video posts this morning..
The one with the boys competing in their triathlon, such inspiration and love through devotion and service given through brotherly love.
The above video had me with streams of tears, and so apt a reminder this Easter Day..
I hope your day is a beautiful one as you sing in your choir.. What a wonderful way to spend part of Easter Sunday but rejoice with our voice.
You are wise to make things easier for yourself, and I am happy you reposted this.
I am returning slowly to the world of blog,
Its taken me three days at separate intervals to moderate my comments and work my way to yours my friend..
I thank you so much JoAnna, I so appreciate you calling in to give me your support and kindness..
Many thanks, and wishing you a wonderful Happy Easter
Love Sue ❤

What a sweet message. Thank you for your grace and your wonderful wishes. I’m moved that you felt that way about “Alive.” I just watched the new live version of Jesus Christ Superstar on a major TV network. It was as powerful as ever. I did get to sing in the choir today, and that was powerful too. My cold is getting better and I’m off to the mountains to visit my son and his family tomorrow, so might not be here on WP much for a bit. Let us take our time for all good things. I wish you peace and joy in abundance. Much love and hugs. ❤

I enjoyed John Legend and Alice Cooper, but this is still my favorite version!

Me, too. This will always be my favorite. It was fun to watch a different version though. John Legend’s performance was wonderful.
