Engage in Boldness

I shall go boldly, even when I’m taking baby steps. Inspired by these words by Mary Melange.

Mary J Melange

What does it mean to boldly go

when there is no star ship in sight?

How do I get to where no one has gone before

when I don’t know if I should go left or right?

When do I make choices to go past the stars

and live without fear of a wrong turn?

Can I live long and prosper this year

and from life find lessons to learn?

Does temporal time stand still

while I decide what to do next?

Or proceed at high warp speed

faster than a fourteen year old can text?

Tell me: How I can transport into the new year

and make it the best ever?

When do I tell myself, “Make it so”

rather than slithering into never?

I’m a woman, not a doctor,

but does that really matter?

It’s time to boldly go and go and go

and not listen to self-defeating…

  1. Very inspiring poem!! This is my goal, to live more boldly. I hold back sometimes, worried because what I’m attempting to do hasn’t been done by anyone else, so I doubt that it’s the right thing. But I’m doing my best to shrug off that fear and just go for it!!
