They Found Each Other Again After 71 Years!

Norwood and Joyce met and fell in love in London during WWII. After he returned to the US, a miscommunication in one of his letters ended the relationship. This could be a reminder to be more clear in our writing, or maybe the time just wasn’t right.

But you never know what surprises are waiting down the road. Norwood and JoyceΒ  found each other again 71 years later. The timing must have been perfect.

(I’m glad I didn’t have to wait that long.)

Here’s their endearing story with a video of Norwood, at age 93, getting ready for their second first date:

  1. Aw this is so lovely! Thanks for spreading positivity Joanna πŸ™‚

  2. Golly this is so sweet and warms my heart. I think it’s precious to view and I’m so glad that both of them are still on their feet if only for moments that count. You post such lovey things and I find that now I look forward to your posts.

I still owe you a reply but that can wait. I hope to get to my blog tomorrow. I was vey busy yesterday and today with errands and a MD appointment for a sort of annual check-up- blood work and all that jazz.

    • Thank you! I do try to post positive things most of the time. Take your time. Life is important. I hope your check up goes well.

      • The MD visit was for semi-annual thyroid level, D3 level and a CBC plus urinalysis. A listen to my heart and I was scheduled for bone density scan and a mammogram that I did not take the time for last year. I’m still alive and thankful each day that I wake up. JoAnna, they say that being elderly is living in the golden years. Well I can say with complete lucidity that it “aint so.”

  3. So heartwarming and utterly romantic!!!

  4. So sweet! Amazing, how things can still work out at that late date. 😊
