What my 80 Year Old Self Wants Me to Know

A follow up to yesterday’s post on what I’d tell my younger self:

If my 80 year old self

could reach back in time,

Would she tell me things I tell myself?

Don’t worry so much!

Enjoy your life.

Treasure the moments.

Do more of what you love.

Would I listen?

Is she telling me now?

Moving my fingers on the keyboard?

Love is the most important thing, she says.

Don’t waste time on resentments.

Laugh, sing, play, dance!

Enjoy your talents.

Share your gifts.

Blessings are everywhere!

  2. Great advice from you and your elder self! πŸ™‚

  3. I thought I was following you, and then I see these posts in Facebook… Do you have more than one blog?

Also, lovely — Love is all-important.

    • Thanks for the lovely compliment and for asking. I’m not sure if this is related but I redirected my blog posts to my author page when I went anonymous as joannaoftheforest. I do have a secondary blog: “Loving Me, too,” but don’t post on there much and having technical difficulties on that one. Not sure what’s going on. I do know that sometimes I follow people via email, but don’t get notifications of all their posts. Let me know if you have any ideas.

  4. Ahhhhh! The two posts are quite profound, JoAnna!! And what a great idea to check in with ourselves at different ages as life and what it means to us all changes so much from season to season. We are in a very special time of our lives, I feel. We are radiating inspiration…feeling the vibration all around us and it is a very wonderful place to be. Keep creating, my sister! I am so happy to share this space with you ❀

  5. I just love these letters that you post…so relatable πŸ™‚
