You never know when someone might start singing at the dollar store, or anywhere else, for that matter. Especially when Christmas is coming!

I’ve decided to do this week’s Saturday Stream of Consciousness post on my neglected other blog.

Today’s prompt from Linda G. Hill, is “store.”

I don’t like stores much this time of year, at least not the busy ones. I try to avoid the mall and those big discount super stores – you know the ones I’m talking about- this time of year.

I’m not a scrooge. I love Christmas! I love the lights – twinkling, colorful, happy lights, and I love signing Christmas carols. I’m going caroling Saturday with my church buddies and Sunday night with some new neighborhood people who just want to go caroling!

But I don’t care for buying presents much anymore. Like the Grinch learned:

“Maybe Christmas,” he thought, “doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas perhaps, means a little bit more!”

I’ll probably get a couple things for my dad and a gift card…
